Natural Voice ReaderYour readings, imported audio, transcripts, playback positions, preferences, and prepared audio are stored in this app’s private storage on your device. Device backups may include these files according to your Apple backup settings.
iCloud sync
When iCloud Drive is available, Natural Voice Reader syncs your readings, completed audio recordings, word timings, favorites, and listening position through your Apple Account. Sync is on by default and can be turned off in Settings. Only devices using that account and the app’s iCloud container can access the synced library. We do not receive your library on a developer server. These files use your iCloud storage, and Apple manages their transfer and cloud protection. Downloads remain available offline.
Edits and deletions sync between devices. Deleting a reading removes its local audio and schedules removal of its iCloud recording and old metadata copies. A minimal deletion record is retained to prevent an offline device from restoring the reading. Other devices remove their local copy when they next sync; a playing or preparing reading finishes or pauses before applying remote changes. Turning sync off does not delete existing local or iCloud copies. Copies you shared or backed up must be deleted separately. If your Apple Account changes, sync pauses until you turn it on again.
The app does not require a separate Natural Voice Reader account, include advertising or developer analytics, or track you across apps. Local reading and playback do not require iCloud. Apple services have their own privacy practices.
Siri and transcription
Siri narration passes the text you choose to Apple’s Shortcuts app. Review a shortcut’s actions before installing it. Apple provides the voice and may require voice or speech-model downloads. Imported audio transcription and word timing are requested on device. On older systems the app asks for Speech Recognition permission and requires on-device recognition; it does not fall back to sending recordings to Apple’s speech servers. If local transcription is unavailable, import a .naturalreading file prepared on another device.
Optional tips
Apple processes optional in-app tips through the App Store. The app receives transaction information to verify and acknowledge the purchase; it does not receive your payment card details or send transaction information to a developer server. All features are already available in the free app. Tips do not unlock anything.
Sharing
Export Audio shares an audio file. Share Reading with Highlighting shares the selected title, full text, audio, and word timings. It does not include other readings, favorites, or listening position. Anyone who receives a shared file can access its contents. Only share content you intend to disclose.
Support and this website
If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide so we can respond. Send only details needed to describe the issue; never send passwords or private readings. You can ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to any legal retention requirements.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical request information, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the site. It also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views and page performance. These pages contain no advertising scripts. The earlier support pages on GitHub Pages are hosted by GitHub, which may also process technical request information when you visit them.
